The 100-hour program is usually completed over the course of 2-3 weeks, with daily classes and workshops, as well as practical teaching experience under the guidance of experienced teachers. Students who complete the program are eligible to register with the Yoga Alliance as a 100-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).
Some of the key components of a 100-hour yoga teacher training program may include:
Yoga philosophy and history: Students will learn about the history and evolution of yoga, as well as key philosophical concepts such as the eight limbs of yoga, the chakra system, and the concept of the self.
Anatomy and physiology: Students will learn about the anatomy and physiology of the human body, with a focus on how these concepts relate to yoga practice and teaching.

Meditation and mindfulness practices: Students will learn about different types of meditation and mindfulness practices, as well as how to integrate these practices into their teaching.
Teaching methodology and sequencing: Students will learn how to create effective and safe yoga sequences, as well as how to effectively cue and communicate with students.
Yoga ethics and lifestyle: Students will learn about the ethical principles that guide the practice of yoga, as well as how to apply these principles in their personal and professional lives.
A 100-hour yoga teacher training course is typically designed for beginners or students with limited experience in yoga. The course is intended to provide a strong foundational understanding of yoga philosophy, anatomy, asana (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, and teaching methodology. While some programs may require students to have some prior yoga experience, many 100-hour programs are open to students of all levels, and are designed to be accessible and inclusive for anyone who is interested in deepening their knowledge and practice of yoga.
It is important to note that a 100-hour program is just the beginning of a yoga teacher's journey, and is not necessarily sufficient for teaching yoga professionally. Many yoga studios and schools require teachers to have completed a 200-hour or 500-hour teacher training program, as well as additional training and experience.
